To start the process of ordering a bespoke handcrafted hat or headpiece from Hazel Goodwin Millinery, you can contact Hazel by visiting the shop, via telephone, email or by filling out the contact form on our website. Specify your interest in placing an order and provide some initial details about your requirements.

To allow us time to show our range of sample pieces, materials and trimmings, we will schedule a visit to our shop and workroom in Glasgow city centre. During your visit, you will have the opportunity to discuss your preferences with Hazel to begin the design process.  Feel free to bring along your outfit or a swatch of material if you can, so we can ensure your creation perfectly complements it.

For those who are unable to visit the studio in person, we also offer Zoom consultations. This allows you to have a virtual meeting with Hazel to discuss your ideas, style preferences, and outfit details. Feel free to share photos or descriptions of your outfit to help us create the perfect hat or headpiece to complement it.

Once the design details have been finalised, Hazel will provide you with a price estimate based on the complexity of the design, materials chosen, and other factors. As a guide, prices typically range between £95 for a simple headband to around £500 for a large headpiece or hat. A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total price will be required to secure your order. This deposit is taken upon acceptance of your order.

After confirming your order with the deposit payment, the production process will begin. Hazel will carefully handcraft your hat or headpiece according to the specifications discussed during the consultation. This process typically takes 3-4 weeks to create, depending on availability of materials and how busy we are. If you need your hat sooner, please do contact Hazel, sometimes we can reduce the timescales.

Once your hat or headpiece is complete, Hazel will contact you to arrange for the final payment of the remaining 50% balance and shipping costs, where applicable. You can collect your hat or headpiece from the shop or your  order can be shipped to you promptly upon receipt of the final payment. Please note that all pieces are made to order, and no refunds can be offered due to the customised nature of our products.
